Ghost Cult Magazine Review Roundup – Oct ’25.

I am taking a break from Ghost Cult Magazine for the time being. I will take this opportunity to thank Ghost Cult head honcho Keith Chachkes and the rest of the crew for letting me be one of their scribes. Here are my last few reviews for them, click the links to read more.

Volbeat – G.O.A.T

The Danish rockers ninth album G.O.A.T is a catchy, fast and frenetic serving of metal and hard rock. It is a raw and energetic effort that was made and recorded live in under 2 weeks, and it is amongst their best work. Enjoy this pithly titled highlight.

Electric Citizen – EC4

Fans of 1970s rock will feel right at home with Electric Citizen‘s new effort EC4. This, their fourth album, is fuzzy, psychedelic flavoured rock and roll with Uriah Heep and Deep Purple influences writ large.

Amorphis – Borderland

Finnish metal behemoth Amorphis are back with Borderland, another well crafted mixture of death, melodic and symphonic metal. With a greater focus on melody, their fifteenth record offers up a dense wall of sound that richly rewards repeated listens.
